TCDC offers a wide variety of classes for ages two to adult. Recreational classes at our studio progress from babies classes where they begin learning the basics of movement through ballet, tap, and jazz. From there, we begin offering further development of skills through tumbling, hip hop, ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, jazz, and acro. Additionally, we have strength training through Barre and skills specific classes that will support and enhance the dancers experience. Our focus at TCDC is to offer excellence through dance. We do this by providing skilled instructors, a positive energy and encouraging environment while challenging each dancer to grow individually and collectively. We prioritize continued education for both our instructors and dancers to ensure we are offering the most current training for our studio. We strive to see every dancer recognize that they matter and have purpose in this life. Dance is so much more than movement, it is one of the most effective ways to learn about discipline, perseverance, determination, team building, and so much more. Many say that dance is therapeutic - offering an outlet to express oneselves emotions and life experiences. Dancers who have danced competitively will tell you they learned more about life from their dance experience than anything else growing up. Dancers learn about supporting others, overcoming challenges, flexibility, discipline, hard work, team building, communication, and so much more. In addition to growing as an individual through skills that last a lifetime, they will significantly grow as dancers. At TCDC we strive for excellence and seek out quality instructors for our faculty as well as outside choreographers who offer incredible experience and creativity. We have found this avoids complacency and continually challenges our dancers to learn from many different personalities/styles as well as enhance their abilities. For the upcoming season, we will be offering competitive teams beginning at age 5 allowing them a glimpse into the competitive world. This is a great opportunity to see if your dancer and family will enjoy the experience! Additionally, we will have Mini, Junior, Teen, and Senior teams.
